About the job
At Evenution we are looking for a software developer to further strengthen our team of software and hardware developers. In this role, you will focus on low-level wireless communication within our embedded products for both brands.
You will be working on embedded systems that use a real-time OS and are written in C and C++, with a strong focus on wireless technologies such as LTE, Bluetooth, DECT similar standards. The work is close to the hardware, where you interact directly with chipsets and protocol implementations.
What you offer
- Proven experience in software design and development
- A BSc or MSc in software engineering, electrical engineering or embedded systems
- Professional working experience with C/C++
- Experience working close to hardware (MCUs, SoCs, chipsets)
- Experience with one or more wireless technologies:
- WiFi (802.11)
- Bluetooth (Classic / BLE)
- DECT
- LoRa
- LTE
- Experience with low-level development such as drivers, firmware, or protocol stacks
- Knowledge of RF or wireless communication fundamentals
- Experience with Git and GitLab CI/CD is a plus
- You are open minded and able to look for new ways to do things differently
- You like working in a small, dynamic company
- You are fluent in English
What you will do
- Develop low-level embedded software for wireless communication systems
- Work close to the chipset on drivers, firmware, and protocol implementations
- Contribute to wireless stack components (e.g. PHY, MAC, or link layer)
- Debug and optimize performance aspects such as latency, robustness, and power consumption
- Work closely with hardware engineers during bring-up and integration
- Contribute to the design and architecture of wireless features in our products
